Focus groups

Focus groups are small, cross-team groups of 3-5 developers that collaborate to provide valuable insights and feedback on specific themes or features within the Golden Path. They serve as a way to gather user input and co-create features that are useful and impactful.

Each focus group revolves around a particular theme or feature, such as CI/CD or observability. Developers in the group act as sparring partners, sharing their perspectives on the feature being developed. Your role as a participant is not to build or implement the solution but to offer critical feedback, including:

  • How useful the feature would be for you
  • What concerns or skepticism you may have
  • Questions you would ask when considering the feature

Focus groups are intentionally lightweight and time-efficient. We meet for about an hour every two weeks. Typically for a total of 3-4 sessions, ensuring the process is productive without becoming a burden.
