Configure Slack notifications from Datadog

Set up the Datadog Slack integration to send monitor alerts and notifications directly to your team's Slack channels.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have completed the getting started guide to set up basic Datadog integration.

Step 1: Add Datadog to your Slack channel

Invite the Datadog Slack app to the channel where you want to receive notifications:

  1. In Slack, navigate to the channel where you want Datadog notifications.

  2. Type the following command in the channel:

    /invite @Datadog

  3. Confirm the invitation when prompted.

The Datadog app is now available in your channel and ready to receive notifications.

Verify

Confirm that your Slack channel appears in the Datadog Slack integration overview. This indicates that the channel is ready to receive notifications from monitors.
